Fine Art Prints

The use of the printing technique for works with original pressed flowers began when I was developing the bookmark piece. In order to allow the bookmark to be used without damaging the flowers, the work required a dedicated fine art scan and a high-quality print that would preserve the original appearance of the flower. The printing technique succeeds in preserving, enhancing, and conveying — in a stunning way — the color, texture, and singular character of the flowers as they appear after drying. While the original works undergo a slow, ongoing process of change (over decades and even centuries), the print captures the precise moment in time when the original was scanned, and holds the full color intensity of that moment.

השימוש בטכניקת ההדפסים לעבודות עם פרחי המקור החל כשניסיתי לפתח את פריט הסימניות. כדי לאפשר שימוש בסימניה מבלי לפגוע בפרחים היה צורך בסריקה ייעודית לפריטי אמנות ובהדפסה איכותית שתשמור על המראה המקורי של הפרח. טכניקת ההדפסים מצליחה לשמר, להדגיש ולהעביר בצורה מרהיבה את הצבעוניות, הטקסטורה והייחודיות של מופע הפרחים אחרי ייבושם. בעוד שבעבודות המקור נמשך תהליך איטי של הפרחים (במשך עשרות ואף מאות שנים), ההדפס לוכד את נקודת הזמן שבו בוצעה סריקת המקור ומצליח לשמור את העוצמה הצבעונית של אותו הרגע. עבודות המקור נסרקו בסריקה מקצועית, והודפסו בטכניקת הדפסה שנקראת ״הדפסת ג׳יקלה״ (Giclée Print). זו טכניקה שמבטיחה השגת צבעים עזים ורוויים ובנוסף מאפשרת מגוון רחב יותר של עומק וניואנסים. גם הנייר שנבחר להדפסים (נייר להדפסות Fine Art), מבטיח שימור ארכיוני של צבעים ואיכות גבוהה ביותר. בזכות סריקה והדפסה איכותית נשמרת הרזולוציה גם בעת שינוי קנה מידה בכל גודל הדפס.
